Coral reefs are incredibly important to both marine life and humans. They provide a home for a diverse array of marine species, support fisheries that millions of people rely on for food, and protect coastal communities by reducing the impact of waves and storms. Additionally, coral reefs contribute to tourism and offer potential resources for medicine. Their health is vital to the overall well-being of our oceans and, by extension, our planet. Protecting coral reefs is essential for sustaining the rich biodiversity they support and the many benefits they provide to humanity.
