- Explore the diversity of nocturnal animals and their special adaptations for life at night.
- Self-awareness: Reflect on fascination and emotional responses to nocturnal animal features.
- Empathy: Build appreciation for the lives, roles, and challenges of wild animals.
- Adaptation & Evolution: How nocturnal animals have evolved special features for seeing, hearing, moving, hunting, and avoiding predators in the dark (e.g., large eyes, sensitive ears, silent flight, echolocation, camouflage).
- Biodiversity in Action: Linking nocturnal animals to their habitats, behaviours, and roles
- Conservation Connections: Why some nocturnal animals are under threat due to habitat loss and human activity.
- Think about a call to action, what can we do to protect nocturnal animals and their habitats.
- You can choose to use different mediums to express your ideas on your poster (e.g. watercolor paints, pastel, collage, crayons, etc.)
