Grace Tang Lee

Grace Tang Lee , a professor and graduate supervisor in the Musical Theater Department at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She is a member of the Teaching Professional Committee of the China Musical Theatre Research Association, the executive director of the Vocal Performance  Committee of the Shanghai Musicians’ Association, and the executive director of the Chinese Culture Promotion Society. Lee also serves as the director of the Musical Theater Committee of the Chinese Culture Promotion Society and as a visiting professor at Carthage College in Chicago, USA.

Lee obtained her bachelor’s degree in China. In 1987, she went to study in the United States, where she was mentored by Professor Raymond Nilsson, a former principal tenor at the Royal Opera House. Lee earned a Master’s Degree in Music from California State University. During her time in America, she was invited to perform in several operas.

Lee has received the Outstanding Teacher Award at Korea-China International Vocal Competition,  the American Classical Vocalists Competition, and the 2024 AIMA International Vocal Competition,ect.
